Lobby & Waiting Areas

Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby while their dancer is in class. Observation windows allow you to see what the class is working on. Parents can choose between our various seating areas and high-top tables.

High top tables allow parents to work during their dancer's class, and provide a great spot for dancers to grab a snack between classes.

Dancewear Shop

ABAA maintains a complete stock of Pre-Ballet uniform items (leotards, tights, and shoes), and alignment belts in all required colors for Junior Ballet 1-6 and Senior Ballet 1-Advanced. Dancers may also find tights in all sizes, dance sweaters in Pre-Ballet and Junior 1-2 sizes, black shorts and leggings for jazz classes, and a small stock of black leotards for dancers in Junior and Senior levels. Please contact the front desk to inquire or purchase dancewear items.

The Dancewear Shop is located near the front desk, just off the main waiting area.

Studio Entrances

The dance studios are entered through the main lobby. Signs outside of each door indicate which classes will take place in each studio space. Please wait for your instructor to invite you into the classroom.

Studio 1, Studio 2, and Studio 3 entrances are all located off the main waiting area.

Studios

Our spacious studios feature state-of-the-art sprung floors and dance surfaces from Rosco; please, no street shoes in the studios! Maple barres line the walls, and portable barres allow dancers to make full use of the space. Each studio features a high quality sound system that is WiFi and Bluetooth ready.

Studio 1 houses our Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and Pre-Pointe materials, and features plentiful natural light through the skylight.
Studio 2 is our largest space, and features curtains that can cover the mirrors and transition the space from studio to performance venue. The wide expanse also allows us to set up full prop tables and "wing" space to give our dancers a feel for the scale of the stages that they perform on well before they arrive at the theatre.
While Studio 3 is our smallest space, it still allows for grand allegro en diagonale! Studio 3 is fully equipped for our Pre-Ballet classes, with props from bean bags to ribbon wands to tambourines.
